About CompuSteel, Inc.
Founded in 1995, CompuSteel Detailing, Inc. provides detailing services to companies within the construction industry, including fabricators, contractors, engineers, and architects. Our capabilities include detailing of structural and miscellaneous steel for all types of construction, including industrial structures, commercial buildings, and schools and churches.
We employ Tekla Structures, AutoCAD and ProSteel 3D, with an emphasis on 3D modeling of structures, to produce shop drawings which ensure accuracy and fit-up. With four Tekla workstations and five ProSteel seats, we can handle projects as large as several thousand tons. Our detailers are also experienced in the detailing of smaller miscellaneous steel such as stairs, railing, ladders, etc.
Since its inception, CSD has provided details for such high profile projects as IIT's McCormick Tribune Campus Center, designed by internationally known architect Rem Koolhaas, the Civil War Museum in Racine Wisconsin, the Basket Bridge (the state's largest pedestrian bridge) in Tucson, Arizona, and Potawatomi Bingo and Casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. More recent projects include DeKalb (Illinois) High School, and several LA Fitness Centers in Pennsylvania. We have also detailed steel for many large industrial projects including ethanol plants and derrick structures, Porcupine Gold Mine in Canada, and commercial projects of more than 1000 tons, such as the Beaver Dam Hospital and Medical Complex.
All of our drawings are sent electronically and can be supplied in a variety of formats. Our ftp site is available for design drawing upload as well. We can provide CNC, .dxf and .xls files, field bolt lists, and assembly lists at your request.
CompuSteel's office is located in rural Wisconsin, in the Fox Valley, just 45 minutes from Green Bay, 1½ hours north of Milwaukee, and 2½ hours from Chicago. Family owned and operated, we believe in honesty and integrity in our business practices and try to demonstrate that in our daily operations.
Our detailers are highly qualified and experienced; all of our detailers are NISD certified, or in the process of obtaining their certification.
